- Read the culture section "Treatment of Slaves" on pp. 75-77 and answer two questions for Mon., Feb. 1:
- Characterize each writer's attitude toward slaves and slavery.
- Imagine that you were a Roman slaveowner. Decide whether you would treat your slaves strictly or kindly and why.
