Guten Tag!
Herzlich Willkommen in Deutsch!
As the summer winds down, please find some time to look over the many materials provided to you by Frau Hotze just to begin to refresh your German as the new school year approaches. If you listen to German music or check out German shows on Netflix or German videos in YouTube, it's a great way to get used to hearing German again. For example, I've been watching the first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Wednesday in German.
We'll spend our year reviewing, practicing, enriching, and developing our German.
I look forward to working with you.

School Supplies
P.S. If you would like some early recommendations on school supplies, I recommend a three-ring binder and loose-leaf paper over a wire notebook. It's also a good idea to get index cards to make physical flashcards for vocab; some students like to get colored cards to fulfill various grammar functions (I use blue for masculine, red/pink for feminine, green for neuter, purple for verbs). We do a lot of color coding in general, and some students like to have their own colored pens, highlighters, or pencils. I have colored pencils and markers in the classroom.

Can you answer some basic questions about yourself: your name, age, description, interests, family? Please note that since I wasn't your teacher, I don't know exactly which vocab you have encountered or not, so some of these items may include terms or phrases you have not previously learned.
